Vail, Keystone and Breckenridge | Colorado
I didn’t start skiing until 2004. My husband took me to Lake Tahoe, NV where I was thrown on skies and told to wing it. Not so much. Even now, 13 years later, I am not the best skier, but I do love the sport. I stay on the blue and green runs, which assures me no broken bones. I should probably challenge myself a little more, but I am ok with keeping it safe.
Savannah | Georgia
I have been to Savannah, the oldest city in Georgia several dozen times. I have ran a few half marathons, went with friends and took my family. There is so much to see, do and eat! Each time we go, I try a new restaurant, visit a new place and walk down different streets. Savannah’s history is rich and the streets are lined with wonderful stories.
Chicago | Illinois
In October of 2011, I ran the Chicago Marathon. It was my favorite of the 6 full marathons I have run. My time was great (4:06) and despite the high temperature, I felt amazing. The course was fantastic and the entire race was extremely organized. I remember mile 13.1 being my favorite as you run a slight downhill and see and hear thousands of cheering spectators.
Washington DC
In October of 2012, I ran the Marine Corps Marathon. It was the hardest (and last) full marathon I have ever ran. I loved the city, loved the route, but disliked the way I felt during and after the race. My knees hurt, my body ached and my brain was literally telling me I was done.
