I grew up here, attended school here, fell in love here and currently raising a family here. I never expected to move back here after graduating from college, but life happens.
Truth is, It took a while for me to love Lakeland as an adult. I’m not your typical hometown girl. I wanted to move as far away from here as possible. Not because I didn’t have a great family or wonderful friends, but I wanted to see the country and explore the world.
It has taken a husband and two kids to help me realize that Lakeland truly is a great place for our family and when I looked hard enough, I found so many wonderfully hidden gems in our small community.
